The program closely follows the American Psychological Association Guidelines on Multicultural Education, Training, Research, Practice, and Organizational Change for Psychologists and adheres to the Guidelines for Psychotherapy with Lesbian, Gay, & Bisexual Clients and the Guidelines for Psychological Practice with Older Adults. The doctoral program in Counseling Psychology at the University of Kentucky is accredited by the American Psychological Association through its Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation (750 First Street, NE, Washington, DC 20002-4242, phone: 202-336-5500).
