UK College of Education

50 States and U.S. Territories
Laws Related to Child Abuse, Elder Abuse, and
Domestic Violence Reporting

In an effort to facilitate the movement from one state to another, e. g., sitting for state licensure examinations, the UK Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology will attempt to collect information for laws on child abuse, elder abuse, and domestic violence reporting for the 50 States. We recognize that States are continually revising their laws. This page is intended to help you gather planning information on states of your choice! Good luck in your search!!
Sometimes you will want more information about a State's "laws related to reporting abuse". Good places to start gathering important information is from the state associations and boards and from the accredited psychology doctoral programs. If in the course of your own search for laws related to child abuse, elder abuse and domestic violence or interpretations related to the "duty to warn", you find a better URL for a State or you find an unlisted State's URL, please send your information to Bill Stilwell. Thank you for your cooperation.

More information on the UK psychology programs can be found at the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology and at Department of Psychology.
