RC 540 Chemical Dependency in Rehabilitation Counseling (3) - This course is designed to provide students with information about the effects of alcohol and other drug usage. Implications for rehabilitation counseling will be presented. Content will include an overview of theories, models of substance abuse, evaluation and assessment, and case management. Issues pertaining to gender, age, ethnicity, family prenatal exposure, dual diagnosis, and adult
children of substance abusers will be addressed. Prereq: Consent of
instructor.
