Research Notes is a monthly publication of the Institute for Educational Research that highlights grant announcements, proposals submitted and received by faculty in the College of Education as well as their collaborative research activities with other colleges. Information included in Research Notes is derived from Internal Approval Forms (IAF) routinely submitted to Office of Sponsored Projects (OSPA) through the College Grants Office. To ensure that Research Notes accurately reflects all College of Education faculty research activities, it is essential that Faith Cordray has a copy of IAF on file.
GRANT ANNOUNCEMENTS: To receive grant announcements in your field in a timely manner please register with the Community of Science (COS) at http://www.cos.com/
Starting July 15, 2005, The Office of Research Integrity (ORI) will require PI’s to use a Modification Request Form when submitting changes to previously approved protocols, and for submitting necessary deviations and/or exceptions which are for changes involving one subject. The Modification Request Form is available on the ORI web page containing detail on Modification Request Submissions. The Form should help eliminate delays in IRB approval, and ensure that the information provided is consistent with IRB requirements. If you have questions about submitting a modification request for your protocol, please contact the assigned ORI staff person for that protocol, or call (859) 257-9428 for assistance.
