Institute for Educational Research Institute for Educational Research

 

Post-award services will be provided to researchers and interdisciplinary groups who elect to submit proposals and manage grants through the Institute for Educational Research. Services are intended to assist faculty in efficiency and effectively managing projects and include: maintaining positive relations with the College Grants and Contracts Office, the University of Kentucky Research Foundation (UKRF), Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) and sponsoring agencies budgeting and planning; assisting with Institutional Review Board (IRB) preparation and processing; facilitating IER project staff searches; providing grant account and management services (tracking expenditures, purchasing, travel, reimbursement et al.); processing request for no-cost extensions; assistance with submitting project progress and final reports; liaison with the College’s Office of Grants and Contracts in closing out project accounts; linking with departments to ensure accuracy of DOE’s etc.; maintain grant project files adequate for inspection by internal and external auditors, and updating researchers on changes in College, University and granting agency expenditure policies and procedures.
