Named to the Alumni Hall of Fame in 2001

Dr. Harold Jeffcoat began his career in higher education in 1975 following ten years as a professional baseball player. He received his B.A. and M.A. from the University of South Florida. In 2000, Jeffcoat completed a Master of Laws degree from the University of Leicester.

He currently serves as President of Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, holding tenured appointments as Professor of European Law and Professor of Humanities. In the past 25 years he has served on the faculties at Baker University and the University of Missouri. He also served as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Missouri before his appointment at TWU. He is founding director of the European Union Center, one of ten academic research centers established by the European Commission in the United States.

Dr. Jeffcoat and his wife, Marie, have three children, Jennifer Marie Morton, Michael Jeffcoat, and Jacqueline Jeffcoat, a UK student.
