Named to the Alumni Hall of Fame in 2000

Dr. Billy O. Wireman, former president of Queens College of Charlotte, North Carolina, a distinguished Southern regional university. Much of its success can be attributed to Dr. Wireman's effective leadership. From 1978 - 2002, President Wireman built a strong foundation for Queens College, focusing on liberal arts education, increased student enrollment, and successful capital campaigns. President Wireman received his master’s degree in educational administration from the UK College of Education in 1957.

Billy Wireman passed away on July 16, 2005.
