Pat Riley received his undergraduate degree from the UK College of Education. A professional basketball player and broadcaster, he coached the 1980s Los Angeles Lakers to four championship titles in nine years. Since 1991, he has served as coach of the New York Knicks. He has the best regular season winning percentage of any coach in NBA history.

A popular keynote speaker for major corporations, associations, and colleges throughout the country and abroad, he has two best-seller books to his credit, Showtime, and The Winner Within: A Life Plan for Team Players. Riley serves as the honorary chair of the College of Education Development Fund Drive and has assisted the College in developing a promotional video highlighting initiatives in the College of Education.
