UK College of Education College hosts U-High Class of ’55

photo .. The University High School Class of 1955 held its 50th class reunion Friday, October 7 through Sunday, October 9, 2005. About 50 alumni and guests of the school attended the weekend’s events. The reunion’s co-chairs were Ann Vimont Smith and Lucy Alexander Breathitt, both of Lexington. The weekend’s events included dinner at David Whitehouse’s farm, an afternoon at Keeneland, dinner at Dudley’s, as well as breakfast and a tour of the U-High buildings hosted by the UK College of Education.

University High School was a model high school operated by the University of Kentucky from 1928 until its closure in the late 1960s. It was located in what is now known as the Taylor Education Building located on UK’s campus.
