UK College of Education CCLD Sponsoring Fourth Kentucky Literacy
Research Symposium

The Collaborative Center for Literacy Development and the Carol Lee Robertson Endowment are co-sponsoring the fourth Kentucky Literacy Research Symposium, which will be held May 14-15, 2008 at Spindletop Hall in Lexington, Ky. The purpose of this event is to bring the foremost thinkers and researchers in the field of literacy research to Kentucky to address issues of national, state and local importance. This event will serve as a springboard for future initiatives in which Kentucky is showcased and viewed nationally as a literacy "think tank" where scholars, researchers and practitioners come together to critically examine and discuss issues in literacy research and practice. Issues to be addressed this year are Emergent Literacy, Adult/Community Literacy and Comprehension. Event registration and additional information may be found at www.kentuckyliteracy.org/KLRS/
