UK-Sponsored Education Abroad Program to China Offered During 2008 Summer Session | |

The University of Kentucky Office of International Affairs and the Asia Center are proud to offer a four-week Education Abroad Program opportunity in China for the 2008 Summer Session. The program, which runs May 14-June 11, offers students the opportunity to learn about the history, culture and people of China. The core of the program will be three weeks of classes and campus living at the China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) in Xuzhou. The program also will include travel to Shanghai and Beijing. Highlights of the program include:
This program is open to students with any major, undergraduate or graduate. The program fees include tuition for 3 credit hours for the course “UK 301: Cross-Cultural Studies,” and participants must attend a total of two hours of preparatory meetings during the Spring Semester. The deadline for receipt of all Education Abroad at UK application materials is March 1. The general application can be found on the Education Abroad at UK Web site at www.uky.edu/IntlAffairs/EA. Applicants also must submit a $50 application fee and a $500 non-refundable deposit along with the application. Other materials will be due during the Spring Semester.
