Kappa

Undergraduate students are required to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and graduate students need a cumulative 3.75 GPA. The UK chapter, which was reinstalled in early December, hopes to develop programming for the college beginning in the spring semester. |

The primary purpose of this group is to support education and improve conditions for all children, schools and teachers. Membership is open to any student interested in education. Events include professional development speakers/sessions, conferences, Read Across America, Books for Children, and Walk Against Child Abuse. Kinesiology
& Health Promotion Majors (Undergraduates) KHP Majors Club is a group of students in Kinesiology and Health Promotion that do different activities to promote unity and professionalism. They attend State and Regional Conferences, plan activities within the group such as camping, jump rope for heart, and fund raisers to support the events. They have a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The club meets once a month less a special meeting is needed. |

Minority
Education Association MEA promotes the recruitment and retention of minorities in education through middle and high school mentoring, guides teacher education program students, and facilitates employment upon graduation. |

Rehabilitation
Counseling Student Association Co-Presidents: Christina Espinosa (ctespinosa@uky.edu) and Elizabeth Lowe (Elizabeth.Lowe@uky.edu) Advisor: Malachy Bishop (mbishop@uky.edu) UKRCSA is a student-run organization dedicated to the promotion of professional identity and commitment to improving the quality of life and access to employment and community participation of persons who have disabilities. Students in the Rehabilitation Counseling Program and related fields (Social Work, Special Education) are encouraged to participate. There are no membership dues. Funds are raised through the sale of merchandise and contributions. |

Student Ambassadors assist with a number of College of Education events such as the Teacher Who Made a Difference Program and in the annual Scholarship and Awards Banquet. They also provide outreach services to schools and community groups. Students are chosen for the program based on their leadership and academic prowess. Council for Exceptional Children Co-Presidents: Ashley Johnson (ashaltell@hotmail.com) and Casey Ayers (clayer2@uky.edu) Advisor: Robert McKenzie (rmcke2@uky.edu) SCEC is a professional development and service organization for students at any level or pursuing any degree program. The purposes of the organization include (a) being advocates for children with disabilities, (b) advancing the professional development of its members, and (c) providing charitable and other services to persons with disabilities. SCEC is a student chapter of an international organization, the Council for Exceptional Children. |
Epsilon
Delta Epsilon Delta is the Education Honorary dedicated to service, leadership and fellowship. It is open to any education major (undergraduate or graduate) who has completed at least 30 credit hours with at least a 3.2 GPA. |

Middle
School Association UKMSA provides opportunities for fellowship and professional development for students interested in middle school education. UKMSA sponsors activities such as mock interviews, a teacher appreciation banquet, and members regularly attend the state middle school convention. |

Big Blue Council
of Teachers of Mathematics Big Blue Council of Teachers of Mathematics (BBCTM) is a professional organization of students planning to teach mathematics. BBCTM is open to all students, particularly Math Education (MIC), Middle School Education (Mathematics Concentration), and Elementary Education majors. We are affiliated with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). |
