Outdoor Sculpture on the grounds of the Storm King Arts Center

Welcome to the College of Fine Arts

"To create, to think critically, to manage, and to continually experiment and learn—these are the core abilities that the College of Fine Arts’ majors and programs offer. In this process of making, appreciating, and managing the arts, you will refine your artistic sensibility while developing ethics of work and of craft. Whether you will become an arts professional, connoisseur, or advocate, you will continue to serve the mission of the University by making a vital contribution to the quality of life in the Commonwealth and in other communities. "
- Bob Shay, Dean of the College of Fine Arts

Arts All a-Twitter at UK...

The college has decided to join the popular Internet craze and create its own Twitter account. With the launch of the College of Fine Art's official Twitter account, UKFineArts, arts patrons and media alike can receive instant updates, or "tweets," on upcoming plays, concert and art exhibits on the Internet or their mobile phone. To follow UK's arts offerings associated with its Department of Art, School of Music and Department of Theatre on Twitter go to http://twitter.com/UKFineArts. Users must create a Twitter account to join. Once logged in, account holders have the choice of following other users and activating their mobile devices to receive "tweets" from UKFineArts and other users as they post them. Twitter is a free social messaging utility for staying connected in real-time. The Internet service lets users keep in touch with people through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing? [writer: Whitney Hale, UKPR]
