Fee: $180

Instructor: Christine Kuhn

Time: Saturdays, 1 - 4 pm

Dates: June 9, 16, 23, 30, July 21, 28, August 4, 11, 18

Note: No classes on July 7 and 14

Location: #302 Fine Arts Building

This class teaches the copyrighted P.E.M.A. painting method. "Pema" means "lotus" in Sanskrit. The lotus grows out of murky water into pristine beauty, representing the path from ignorance to understanding. The P.E.M.A. method of art making leads to conscious understanding of unconscious themes, desires and emotions. Fans of Jung and Rorschach will love this class since it helps students discover and explore personal symbols and psychological themes, all while learning to make gorgeous original paintings! Students interested in exploring mixed media techniques will gain experience using a variety of these techniques during the session.

The first class meeting is informational only; a materials list will be given during this time. Former students are encouraged to continue their experiences in this class.
