Marty Henton received a Bachelors in Art Education from Purdue University and a Masters in Education in Art from Western Kentucky. Marty has a variety of experiences in the field of art: teaching at Western Kentucky University, Margaret Hall Girl’s School, The Living Arts and Science Center, and at the University of Kentucky. In addition to teaching Marty served as Director of The Living Arts and Science Center for twenty three years. In that role she initiated educational programs at LASC, in the schools and the community, wrote grants, collaborated with community agencies, and oversaw the general administration of LASC. Now, Marty is returning to her passion – teaching art. She has recently worked with Kentucky Educational Television on the Visual Art Tool Kit and is currently the Arts Group Community Leader for 2020Vision with Fayette County Public Schools. Marty is a metalsmith and has a studio in her home.
