Admission to the University of Kentucky

Those who wish to be enrolled in the Arts Administration Program must first apply for admission to the University of Kentucky. To learn more about admission requirements, and to receive application materials, contact:

Admission to the Arts Administration Program

After being accepted into the University of Kentucky, students should then inform the admissions office that they plan to pursue an Arts Administration degree. Students will then be designated as pre Arts Administration majors, and will be assigned an Arts Administration Advisor. To become a full major, students must:

1. Be inrolled in the University of Kentucky;
2. complete 45 semester hours of course work;
3. have a minimum 2.8 cumulative grade-point average;
4. complete premajor core requirements (AAD 200 and 202, and one of the following: COM 181, COM 287, TA 225), plus ACC 201 and ECO 201 with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0, and
5. submit an application form to the Arts Administration Program.

Once the above requirements have been met, students are then accepted into the Arts Administration Program as full majors.

*Arts Administration Majors with a music performance emphasis:

Students entering the program with a primary discipline emphasis in music performance should be aware that they will need to audition and be accepted in their performance area. To learn more about School of Music auditions, contact:
