Rasheedah El-Amin (2007)
Current: The Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center, Cultural Arts Coordinator; Co-creator of Art After Hours - Lex, a free program that brings awareness of local art organizations to young art enthusiasts and the young at heart. Past: Headley-Whitney Museum, Membership and Administrative Services.
"Not only did I receive a great overview of the arts in general through UK's Arts Administration Program, I was also encouraged to intern and explore the arts. One of my internships was at the Headley-Whitney Museum, where I was hired full-time after graduation. I am now Cultural Arts Coordinator at the Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center. The program I co-created, Art After Hours - Lex, allows participants to explore Lexington museums and galleries, and interact with arts staff and other art explorers."
Rachel Hagan (2009)
Current: Kentukcy Center for the Performing Arts, Marketing Manager. Past: Communications Assistant, Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts.
"Having been involved in dance and music since an early age, I knew I wanted to work in the arts but I didn't want to be a professional ballerina or musician. The Arts Administration program allowed me to work in the field I'm passionate about, but on the business side of things. The program is a great balance of business courses as well as whatever arts focus you choose."

Current: The Book of Mormon, Broadway (New York City), Company Manager. Past: A Chorus Line at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (New York City), Company Manager
"My experiences in the Arts Administration program helped shape me into the theatre professional I am today. The resources and experience I gained from the program immediately made me a top candidate for selective graduate programs and important positions within the professional theatre industry. When I left UK, I had a foundation that allowed me to quickly achieve one of my most significant professional goals and to establish myself within the Broadway community much sooner than I had expected."
Elysha Miracle (2003)
Current: Naxos (Nashville), Sales and Marketing Assistant. Past: Sullivan University (Louisville), Regional Admissions Officer.
"My Arts Administration degree and classical music experience definitely is something that many companies are impressed by for positions I have seeked. I believe the business classes we took in our curriculum were extremely helpful."
Kelly Pratt (2001)
Current: Beirut band member, also has toured and recorded with Arcade Fire
"The UK Arts Administration program gave me a big-picture view on the working relationship between artists and their respective cultural institutions. Most directly it prepared me for my first job out of school at Verve Records (where I interned), which led me to New York and my current career. For me the program has been invaluable as both artist and administrator."
