Brian Flack is currently a 5 th year senior studying Music Education at the University of Kentucky. This year is his first as instructor of the UK Drum Line. Brian played tenors for the drum line his first four years at UK. He graduated from Woodford Co. High School in Versailles, KY in 1994 where he would later teach the drum line for three years. He also gives private lessons to approximately 10 students with ages ranging from 6 th grade to freshmen in college. The summer of 1998 he played tenors for the internationally known Phantom Regiment from Rockford-Loves Park, Illinois.
Brian's performance experience includes participation in a wide variety of ensembles here at UK. They include the Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble, Steel Band, and University Orchestra. He competed in the Solo Timpani Competition at PASIC in Orlando in November 1998. He was one of only four selected to participate in this international competition.
