Are you eager to be more comfortable
with your computer? |
Want to know how technology can enhance your teaching? Then come (or come back!) to the UK 2007 Summer Technology Series. We've been training teachers like you for twelve years, and we're getting stronger each year. Our sessions offer:
- knowledgeable and patient instructors
- extensive hands-on experience
- practical, discovery-oriented learning
- increased sense of comfort with technology
- professional development or academic credit for having FUN!
Our Staff
Our director is Dr. Charles Lord, Coordinator of the Theory Division and Head of Music Technology. He has taught successfully in a computer lab setting for nearly 15 years and has introduced creative ways to use computers to teach ear training and many other applications. As a result, aural training has become one of UK students' favorite courses!
Larry Nelson has been our main summer workshop instructor for many years. He is on the faculty at Eastern KY University, and is a fine arranger, jazz performer, music historian and well recognized teacher of just about anything related to computers and music (see previous participants' comments below).
Dennis Davis is our Sibelius instructor. Dennis is a faculty member at Eastern KY University and is responsible for their computer lab and software. He has extensive experience not only with technology overall, but he's an exceptionally patient teacher - you'll love working with either Larry or Dennis!
Registration
This year again we're delighted to offer our computer lab, (which other schools come to take pictures of) with robust computing power, internet access and software. Our lab is equipped with Macintosh G4 computers which also act very much like PCs.
