2007 UK Summer Music Technology Workshops

Our workshops are listed under MUS 350 (undergraduate) and MUS 650 (graduate). Week 1 is listed for the First (4-week) Summer Session; Weeks 2-3 for the Second Summer Session (8-week session).

Workshops are offered for 1-2 credit hours each. Tuition is payable according to the standard UK schedule (our workshop fee is also required).

One or two hour's credit is available automatically for those attending the entire week. A third credit can be earned by completing a project agreed on between the instructor and participant as an extension of the workshop, and is to be completed after the workshop but before the end of the second summer session (Aug. 2). You may sign up for either 1 or 2 credits as you register. NOTE: MUS 350 and MUS 650 are on our books for 1-4 credits, depending on the course content and format. No more than 2 credits per course session are allowed in the Music Technology Series. For a third credit, also register for MUS 395 (undergrad) or MUS 695 (graduate), 1 hour.

To register for graduate credit, you must be accepted to UK, but this need not be complicated, depending on your desires. Option 1: I want credit but am not working on a degree or Rank 1 at any college or university

Your Status: Post-baccalaureate
Registration online May 7 for Week 1, June 7 - 8 for Weeks 2-3 Must be admitted prior to this date, preferably a month before.	Application with fee ($30.00) (Code POBA) Send copy of previous transcript(s) to Graduate School - may be unofficial copy (e.g., photocopy) Workshop registration!

Option 2: I want credit to transfer to a program at another college or university

Your Status: Visiting Student
Registration online May 7 for Week 1, June 5 - 6 for Weeks 2-3 Must be admitted prior to this date, preferably a month before.	Application with fee ($30.00) Verification form or letter from your program, validating your status at their school. Workshop registration!

Option 3: I want to begin work on a graduate degree or my Rank 1 at UK

Your Status: Applicant for Entrance to UK Graduate School
Registration online May 7 for Week 1, June 5 - 6 for Weeks 2-3 Must be admitted well before this date, preferably a month early.	See UK Graduate School Admissions Procedures (recommend calling as soon as possible) Workshop registration!

Option 4: I have already been admitted and am working, however slowly, toward a degree or my Rank 1 at UK
