UK Women's Choir in Italy - 2009

In the summer of 2009, the UK Women’s Choir traveled to Italy. This was the choir’s 2nd International Tour. In the summer of 2005, the choir gave concerts in France, Germany and Austria, including a performance in Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. (Read all about it!)

While many people may have the opportunity to travel to different countries, it is a rare and special honor to have the opportunity to perform in these amazing historical locations.  The June trip was twelve days and eleven nights spent in places such as Rome (with a Saturday Mass at the Vatican, June 6th), Montecatini, Florence, Bologna, Padua, and Venice. The choir performed a special benefit concert April 19, 2009, at Talon Winery in Lexington to help raise money for the tour.
