Peter Simpson's Bassoon Studio Web Site

Peter Simpson studied bassoon with Donald Rankin at the University of Rhode Island, Donald Bravo at the University of New Hampshire and Rudolf Klepac at the Hochschule Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. Mr. Simpson has been Professor of Bassoon at the University of Kentucky since 1976, and Principal Bassoonist with the Lexington Philharmonic since 1978. He has also performed with the New Hampshire Music Festival, Goldovsky Opera Institute, Louisville Orchestra, Peninsula Music Festival, Lakeside Symphony, and the Des Moines Metro Opera.

Mr. Simpson has also published woodwind arrangements with International Opus, ALRY Publications, and Bocal Music. He has performed his own arrangements at several International Double Reed Society, MNTA and NACWPI Conferences.
