UK Opera Theatre's
Academy for Creative Excellence

UK Opera Theatre is among the leading young artist training programs for college students in the United States. The Academy for Creative Excellence (“A.C.E.”) was created to reach out to young persons in Lexington and surrounding communities, providing the highest quality of training and instruction in the arts, encouraging excellence, enthusiasm, professionalism and passion in our students.

We believe in every child’s right to access high quality arts education, and we believe that the arts inspire creativity, intellectual development, confidence, team-work, discipline, enthusiasm, active living, and leadership in our children and youth. Our programs intend to train our students for potential careers in the performing arts, from triple threat performers in musical theatre to actor-singers (who can move!) in opera, and beyond! We begin this year with singing, acting, and dancing disciplines with the intention to expand to other arts areas in future years.

We promote a noncompetitive learning environment where all students can gain valuable skills and develop personally. We will serve them as they grow!
