This 3-day comprehensive clinic co-sponsored by The Lexington Singers features
noted clinician Dr. John Dickson, Director of Choral Activities at Texas
Tech University. Highlights of the workshop will include Dr. Dickson's
sessions on Kinesthetics, Voicing the Choir, and Text & Music. Additional clinics will be presented by Dr. Jeff Johnson, Director of
Choral Activities at the University of Kentucky, Dr. Lori Hetzel,
Associate Director of UK Choral Activities and Prof. John Nardolillo,
Music Director & Conductor of the UK Symphony Orchestra. Their
sessions will cover Music & Rehearsal Technique, Techniques for Men's
and Women's Voices, Fine-Tuning your Conducting, Working with Strings, and The Middle School Voice. Our goal is to share and explore creative ways to enhance the choral experience for singers of all ages. 17 hours of EILA (Effective Instructional Leadership Act) credit is available to KY public school attendees.
Keyboard Ensemble and Technology Seminar
A class for collegiate, professional and private piano/music teachers. Emphasis is on ensembles, improvisation, technique, pedagogy, repertoire, electronic and computer music, and group instruction.
