Welcome to the University of Kentucky and the
Department of Theatre!
Our 2011-2012 program is filled with exciting initiatives and opportunities such as the new Dance Program, a production in the prestigious New York International Fringe Festival, and an on-campus partnership with a Tony Award-winning company. Students receive the highest caliber theatre training here at UK – whether their passion is onstage or backstage - and our student success is proven with a burgeoning UK Theatre alumni network at successful theatres across the country. UK Theatre just celebrated its 100th anniversary, and that rich history and tradition grounds our students and faculty with the consistency to excel in the competitive 21st century marketplace. Our faculty is committed to helping students develop their full artistic potential, and ensure that each student's college experience is exceptional.
