Lisa recently won a 2007 Nightlife Award for Best Female Cabaret Vocalist. The annual awards, which honor the best in New York cabaret, comedy and jazz, were presented Jan. 29 at 7 PM at Town Hall. Instead of offering acceptance speeches, winners of the Nightlife Awards perform. Among those performeing with Lisa were Christine Ebersole, Maureen McGovern and Jesscia Molaskey as well as Billy Stritch, John Pizzarelli, Paula West, Scott Coulter, Tom Andersen, Tim Di Pasqua, and David Colbert. I am currently working as the Marketing Consultant to the department.  It is exciting to be back in the Fine Arts Building after a 20 + year absence.  After graduating I had a career in Advertising (with Theatre on the side - Actors' Guild, Phoenix Group, Studio Players) Since 1994 I have been raising a family (two boys Ethan 10 and Miles 7) and working as a free-lance producer, marketing consultant, writer, teacher, actor - you name it!  I spent two years consulting with the Lexington Shakespeare Festival and hope to get back on stage in the not-too-distant future. 

Rick is appearing in Transformers, a Dreamworks film directed by Michael Bay, as a Pentagon Staff member-4-star Marine Corps General and just finished shooting a Guest Star bit on "Boston Legal" to air during the Fall TV season!! Been a working actor and voiceover artist in LA for a number of years. TV appearances on The Young the Restless, JAG, The District, The X-Files, Providence, General Hospital, The Bold & The Beautiful, Beverly Hills 90210, Dallas, Who's The Boss, Knots Landing, to name a few. Narrated "The Life and Times of Marty Stuart" and "Chicken Soup For The Soul" for TV, in addition to many radio and TV commercial voiceovers. Also appeared in several not too well known independent feature films and tons of commercials. Have enjoyed meeting many UK and Kentucky folks in "the business" via the UK Alumni Assn. and KYLAS (Kentuckians of Los Angeles Society).

I completed my M. F. A. at Boston University and a Ph. D. at Boston College. I am currently the Director of the Robsham Theater for the past twenty-five years, directing and teaching theater management classes.

MFA in acting from Trinity Rep. in Providence, RI. Worked in various theatres in Cincinnati, Providence, New Haven, and New York City. And, I have appeared in several national TV commercials as well. Off Broadway debut in Symphonie Fantastique - an underwater puppet show.

Still working regionally, and currently appearing in the world premiere of A Tale of Two Cities at the Asolo Theatre in Sarasota, FL. I'm in the ensemble.

After deciding I wanted to live the quiet life in Maine I also figured out I couldn't make a living here doing theatre so I now manage the admissions department at the second largest hospital in Maine, it's not too different from stage management really. I have to keep a schedule filled to keep things running smoothly 24-7; I have 55 employees ; and if things don't go well I get yelled at; this time by doctors though.  I love living here though, it's a great place to be, theres an abundance of natural beauty and surprsingly a lot of cultural things to do and see, especially in the summertime.  Please feel free to contact me at kbear_04401@yahoo.com and if you ever find yourself in "Vacationland" let me know.

Currently living in Peachtree City, Georgia and working as a Program Manager for Eagle Support Services Corporation (Defense Contractor).  Married in 1994  to Meghan Warder.  We have  been blessed with three children - Jenson (son, 12), Devin (daughter, 8), and Will (son, 7).   Retired from active duty in Sep 2007 after thirty years of military service (24 active, 6 reserve).  Most recent assignment (2004-2007) was Chief of Operations (G-3) for the Army Reserve.  From 2001-2004, served as Installation Commander of Fort Dix, New Jersey.  In 2002, received a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies from the Army War College.  From 2000-2001, served as Deputy Garrison Commander, Fort Hood, Texas.  With mentors like Wally Briggs, Joe Ferrell, and Jim Rodgers, I remember my days at UK with great fondness.  A big long lost HELLO to some old friends including Martha Bernier Campbell, Kevin Haggard, and Lisa Asher.  Best to all of you in your future endeavors.  Email:  davidlowry@bellsouth.net

Candace Weber Shiffman (BFA, Acting, 1996)

Let's see...I've done pretty well commercially (although not lately). Commercials include Hewlett Packard, Mobil, Febreze, Business 2.0, Shamrock Farms, and Bastoncini Findus (an italian fish stick company - we shot the commercial in Milan...couldn't ask for a better gig than that, eh?) As far as recognizable film/tv, I just have a guest star on JAG awhile back. A couple independent films and several student films, but Speilberg isn't beating down the door just yet. Theater-wise, I told you about the "Angel" understudy role...before that, I got to play "Florence" in Chess and a role in "O Pioneers!" at A Noise Within Classical Theater. I ended up working as the Marketing and Development Coordinator at A Noise Within for a year and a half after that. It turns out one of the co-Artistic Directors, Geoff Elliott, went to UK! Small world, huh? I'm also singing professionally with an a cappella Christmas carolling group during the holidays, the Music Companie. I'm in my second year as an Ovation voter - basically, Los Angeles' version of the Tonys. So, I get to see a ton of free theater. Who knows what will come next? It's tough in such a big pond, but we're sticking to it. Most importantly, I wanted to let you in on our latest production:  our baby girl, Gabriella.  Yes, it's true, we're parents - God help us all.

Brad produced another extremely successful ten-minute play festival in November '05, and has gotten back into performing. He'll be playing Ray in "Lonestar" (opens April 4), and will also have a role in Noel Coward's "Relative Values" this June with the Summer Company. He's still working at CMU so we're both very busy, but that's the way we like it.

Gayle Pazerski-Stephenson (BFA, Acting, 1999)

Brad and I are still living in Pittsburgh (Go Steelers!) and loving it here. We bought a house last fall, which makes us feel very old (and poor). I'm currently playing Elizabeth in a production of "Laundry & Bourbon" that opens April 4 in conjunction with "Lonestar," and then I'll be playing Moxie in Noel Coward's "Relative Values" with the Summer Company in June. I also just got an offer last week to play Mary Warren in Quantum Theatre's production of "The Crucible" this August. I am very excited about that - Quantum is a great company and I learned so much working with them last summer. Incidentally, in my last Quantum show, I worked with Kristie Dale Sanders, who used to be in "Urinetown" on Broadway and knew Adam Miller and Micah Logsdon from their work on that show. Small world! I'm also still writing plays and getting a decent amount of local exposure with my efforts.

Amy Thompson(BA, History, 1980, Minor in Theatre & English)

Amy performed in and worked backstage on numerous productions with the UK Theatre from 1976 – 1981. Currently a writer and producer in Columbus, Ohio, serving as Communications Consultant to the Bexley City School District. She also develops marketing strategies and creative work as part of Fechtor Advertising. She has produced broadcast and documentary projects for clients such as the Ad Council, Anheuser-Busch, Comerica Bank, Heath Bar/Leaf, McDonald’s, Nestle, The Ohio State University, and the United Way. Her work has received awards from the International Film and Television Festival of New York and Art Direction Magazine, as well as Emmys, Addys, Tellys and others. Since graduating, she has appeared on stage at Actors Theatre of Louisville, the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Cleveland Public Theatre, Dobama Theatre, Red Herring Theatre Company and many others.
