Nancy C. Jones - Chair

 

Nancy Jones is an Associate Professor in the Department of Theatre at the University of Kentucky where she teaches directing, acting and movement. She is a member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab (1998, 99, 00, 01) where she directed a workshop production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Her New York credits include: Portrait of a President for the New York International Fringe Festival; Blue Moon over Memphis by Deborah Baley Brevoort and Solo Goya by Herman Daniel Farrell III for the American Living Room Festival at HERE; A reading series of women playwrights at New York Performance Works and many staged readings at New Dramatists. Regionally, she has created several original theatre pieces: Affrilachia from a book of poetry by Frank X. Walker, Inanna, based on the myth of the Sumerian goddess, and El Mundo de los Suenos, a collection of Latin American Folktales told through movement, puppetry, song and story.
