Jane Andrus is a native of Danville, Kentucky and attended Rhodes College and Centre College, where she earned a BA in Art Studio in 1988. After studying abroad during and after college in France, Italy, Spain, and Israel, she returned to Kentucky and enrolled in graduate school at the University of Kentucky.
In 1994, Jane received an MA in Art Education, and in 1999, an MA in Art History. She has taught art history periodically for 15 years at UK and Bluegrass Community & Technical College, and worked at the University of Kentucky Art Museum for 7 years before coming to the Art Department in 2007. She is married to Bill Andrus who currently teaches painting at the University of Kentucky and they have three children.
