April 15, 2008 - Congratulations to Marietta Watts of HR Training & Development, who has been selected to receive the 2008 UK Staff President’s Award for Diversity. The award will be presented on April 17th by President Todd and Provost Subbaswamy.

myUK Employee Self-Services Gives Employees Convenient Access to Their Information Online
April 11, 2008 - We are pleased to announce UK staff and faculty may now access and, in some cases, update their employee profile information online through myUK Employee Self-Service (ESS). This new site, a service of the UK Integrated Resource Information Systems (IRIS), allows employees to review the following paystubs, tax and other information, as well as update their home addesses. Open Enrollment Takes Place April 21 - May 9, 2008
April 10, 2008 - Open Enrollment is the time for UK employees to review and/or update benefit offerings for themselves, their dependents and/or beneficiaries. The good news this year includes the added convenience of online enrollment and steady or lower rates for the vast majority of health plan members. Visit the Open Enrollment site for details.

Change to Benefit Deductions Starts with December Pay Periods
December 2, 2007- Instead of paying for benefits one pay period in advance, benefit deductions will soon apply instead to the cost of benefits during the current pay period. Click here to learn more.

NEW! Retirement Carrier Options Streamlined While Maintaining Array of Investment Choices
December 11, 2007 - With the approval of the UK Board of Trustees earlier today, UK Benefits will implement a plan to streamline the number of retirement plan administrators, while maintaining current investment choices. Temporary Disability Leave Conversion to Vacation Time
July 1, 2007 - During the month of July, employees with a minimum Temporary Disability Leave (TDL) balance of 69 days or more may convert up to 12 days of this time to Vacation Leave at a three-to-one rate. Click here for details.

NEW!  Free Car Seat Check for UK employees June 26th

June 1, 2007 - If you are a UK employee, have your child's car seat checked by a certified child passenger safety technician on June 26th from  2-5pm in the Commonwealth stadium lot. The check takes about 20 minutes per seat. Please call 859-323-1153 to make an appointment or if you have any questions.

New! Family Education Program Designed to Address Work-Life Needs of Employees

April 24 – As the culmination of a multi-year initiative, a new Family Education Program benefit is now available to UK employees. The FEP benefit allows eligible employees to transfer their educational benefit to a spouse, dependent, partner or partner dependent in the form of a tuition discount. March 2007 - UK Employee Learning Services is seeking volunteer tutors for adult literacy and ESL learners. Work one-on-one with UK employees who need help with reading or English-speaking skills. January, 2006 - Humana Inc. recently announced it will acquire CHA Health, the company which provides administrative services to the UK-HMO. Our health plan members will see no change in benefits and may continue to correspond with CHA on billing and coverage-related questions.
