Spring is Here and so is National Prevention of Animal Cruelty Month
Spring is a beautiful time of year. However, like every season, it brings its own special concerns for our animal companions. Many of the wonderful things we enjoy are hazardous to our pets. This month, I have found three great articles on making Spring safe for our pets.Read the rest of the April Monthly Message
The first is "Spring Fever" from North Shore Animal League. NSAL offers a great checklist for Spring safety as well as a chart listing plants to avoid for a pet-friendly yard. The second article, "Springtime is for Peeps," comes from The Humane Society of the United States. This article features a cute slideshow of favorite springtime animals as well as safety tips for Spring and information on the HSUS's campaign to discourage giving rabbits as Easter "gifts." The final article comes from the AVMA. From chocolate bunnies to tulips, this comprehensive guide offers a variety of information on how to keep your pet safe this Spring.
Spring is also a time to do our part to prevent animal cruelty. April is National Prevention of Animal Cruelty month, and The ASPCA is leading the way by sponsoring a "Go Orange for Animals" campaign. Visit the ASPCA website today and learn about how you do your part to prevent cruelty to animals.
Have a Safe Spring,
