Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat-Month
Each year, approximately four million cats end up in shelters. Thousands of kittens are born in the spring and summer. Many people don’t realize the surge of cats and kittens shelters experience during this time. All of them are looking for good homes.
The American Humane Association has a great deal of information available to help you as you consider adding a loving cat to your home. The ASPCA offers a variety of tips on what to expect and how to make your new addition more comfortable. Locally, the Lexington Humane Society is offering reduced rates on cats and kittens adopted during the month of June.
If you have ever considered adding a cat or kitten to your household, now is the perfect time to take action. With four million cats available, one is bound to be right for you!
