Summer Tips/International Homeless Animal Day
Summer presents a variety of dangers for pets.The ASPCA offers some suggestions for keeping your pet safe during hot weather.
Did you know there are many hazards to your pet lurking in your yard? ASPCA also offers tips for pet-safe gardens.
Locally, the Lexington Humane Society has some summer care guidelines as well as upcoming events. Don't forget International Homeless Animals Day on August 15. This day is set aside as a time to remember and make the world aware of the problem of pet overpopulation. The Lexington Humane Society is sponsoring a candle coloring contest for children.
