The Work-Life Advisory Council meeting scheduled for January 8 has been cancelled. Please see below for an update from the Work-Life Office. Our next meeting is scheduled to be held on February 12 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in room 214B Wethington Bldg.
Flexibility Work Guidelines Update
The Flexibility Work Guidelines are being reviewed by various university organizations. To date, they have been reviewed and endorsed by the following organizations:
The Women’s Forum; The President’s Commission on Women; The Staff Senate Issues Committee.
Today Robynn will present them to the Staff Senate Executive Committee and then to University Senate in March. So far the comments have been very positive and no significant changes have been recommended.
Work Life Program Specialist
The Work Life Program specialist position has been posted. Applications will be accepted until 1/16. Minimum requirement is MSW.
Work Life Survey
WFD has been contacted to begin the process of designing the second work-life survey, which we plan to administer this fall.
Web Site
Please review our web site. We are now able to do our own editing and are in the process of updating and revising the content. For example, we are working on creating a “progress report on work-life initiatives” that will provide up-to-date information about where we are in the process. Nevertheless, if there is an item or topic that you would like to see posted, please let us know.
