UK@Work Survey Results: Job Satisfaction (Staff and Faculty)

Overall Satisfaction

70 percent of staff respondents and 60 percent of faculty respondents indicated they were satisfied/very satisfied with their jobs.

Job-related Dimensions (Staff)

Eight of 10 staff respondents are satisfied with working relationships with co-workers (82 percent), work schedules and shifts (82 percent) and the challenges of their jobs (80 percent).

More than two-thirds (71 percent) are satisfied with benefits and with the ability to balance work and personal responsibilities (68 percent).

Fewer than half of all staff respondents indicated satisfaction with “sense of shared mission” (38 percent) and “my salary/wage” (32 percent).

Fewer than half of all staff (34 percent) agreed “advancement opportunities are good.”
