UK@Work Survey Results: Perceptions of Respect and Value (Staff and Faculty)
Staff Respondents
Eight of 10 (81 percent) staff members agree they “feel respected” by co-workers, and three of four (75 percent) say the same of their immediate supervisors.
Less than half of all staff respondents (39 percent) perceive respect from “senior administration.” A similar proportion of staff (36 percent) report feeling valued by the university.

Faculty Respondents
More than two-thirds of all faculty respondents “feel respected” by staff (86 percent), students (83 percent) and faculty colleagues (74 percent).
Over half of faculty respondents feel valued by their departments for their scholarly and research contributions (56 percent), teaching contributions (59 percent), and service contributions (59 percent).
Just over one-third of faculty feel valued by the university for scholarly and research contributions (36 percent), teaching contributions (35 percent), and service contributions (36 percent).
