Temporary Disability/Sick Leave:

Temporary disability leave for staff and sick leave for faculty may be used for time off due to illness or injury or, with some limitations, to care for a sick family member. If you are a regular full-time staff employee, you earn one day of temporary disability leave each month. If you are a regular employee with a 50% assignment (0.5 FTE), you earn a pro-rata percentage of temporary disability leave each month. If you are a regular, full-time faculty member, you may be granted up to six (6) months of sick leave by the Provost.
