Walgreens Ends Participation in Express Scripts Pharmacy Network as of January 1, 2012
As of January 1, 2012, Walgreen's pharmacies will no longer accept UK prescription coverage, which is provided through Express Scripts. This change affects all UK health plan members (employees and retirees), including those enrolled in UK-HMO, UK-RHP, UK-PPO, UK-EPO, UK Indemnity and UK Medicare. As a result, UK health plan members may no longer use their Express Scripts prescription cards for benefits at Walgreens pharmacies (as of January 1).
Please note: UK employees and retirees will continue to enjoy coverage at virtually all other retail pharmacies across Kentucky and across the U.S., such as (Rite Aid, CVS, Wal-Mart, Meijer, Kroger, Target, and local independent pharmacies).

If you have filled prescriptions at Walgreens recently or in the past, you'll receive a letter in November from Express Scripts with more information.
