Career Development

Mission

The mission of Career Development at the University of Kentucky is to help employees manage and develop their careers, for both their own professional growth and job satisfaction as well as for the success of the University. Career Development services are based on the premise that UK is ‘one great place to work’ precisely because of its many great employees. We value and support individual development and seek to become the employer of choice in our Commonwealth and region. Our goal is to help employees identify, explore and obtain their best ‘fits’ among the many employment opportunities leading to great careers at UK, thereby contributing to the strength and excellence of the University.
