Document all information on STEPS employees the same as if they were a
regular employee. Have the "hands-on" supervisor within the assigned
department complete the appropriate documentation at the time such
performance issues arise.
Record:
If there are performance issues of concern with a STEPS employee contact the STEPS recruiter who placed the individual immediately so they can document the situation as well when it happens.
When an employee's assignment ends, complete the evaluation form that is
located below or in the Forms Directory under "S" for STEPS Performance
Evaluation. Once the Performance Evaluation has been completed, send it
to the recruiter who placed the individual in your department.
Also, it is important to approve and monitor the number of hours your
STEPS employee is reporting to our office. We highly recommend that the
"hands-on" supervisor be the last person to handle the timesheet before it
arrives in the STEPS Office. In addition, please compare the timesheets
copies you retain against your ledger sheets and invoices.
