What is Therapeutic Chair Massage?

Do you sit at your desk or stand on your feet at least 40 hours a week? Are you constantly rubbing your aching neck and shoulders and suffering from headaches and strained eyes? We have great news: You can boost your productivity and get relief! The UK Health & Wellness Program* makes Therapeutic Chair Massages available at various campus locations throughout the year. Schedule your appointment with a certified massage therapist to ease your sore muscles and sooth away your stress headaches.

The cost is just $5 for 10 minutes or $10 for 20 minutes. Reservations and advanced payment are required. See details below.

*To sign up for a waiting list. Please make sure the box is UNCHECKED beside "display only programs that are open." This will allow you to see and register for programs that are on a waiting list.

When does registration open?

You may make an appointment for a chair massage no earlier than ONE MONTH before its scheduled date.

How do I pay for Chair Massage?

Payment must be received at least 48 hours prior to the event. No cancellations accepted within two business days prior to the event. No refunds.

Two payment options:

  1. Credit/debit: You have the option to pay with your credit/debit Card when you register online. (Click the link to pay, which will appear on the final page of registration.)
  2. Check/Cash: Make checks payable to UK Health & Wellness and submit payment to - UK Health & Wellness, 116A Seaton Center, Lexington, KY 40506-0219. (If paying with cash, please bring exact amount. Change may not be available.)

Do I need to complete a release form?

Yes. Click here to complete and print your release form. Bring the completed form with you the day of your massage. Please arrive 5 minutes before your appointment.

 

*Only University of Kentucky employees, retirees, spouses, and sponsored dependents are eligible for UK Health & Wellness services and programs. CKMS employees are also eligible.
