Wildcat Wheels Bike Library
Cleaner. Healthier. Cheaper. Faster!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to electrical problems in our building, the Wildcat Wheels Bicycle Shop hours have changed. We will be open from 1-5 p.m. on Friday, July 11 and 1-5 p.m. on Thursday, July 17. We will be closed the remainder of the month of July and will reopen the week beginning August 4. As soon as we know our hours for that week, we will post them here. If you have questions or problems with your bicycle during this time please e-mail wildcatwheels@gmail.com or call 257-2003. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.
Wildcat Wheels Library provides FREE bicycle use to UK students, faculty and staff. All you need is your UK Student ID or Faculty/Staff ID.
Bikes are available in a variety of sizes. All bikes are equipped with a bike lock and some have baskets. Bicycle helmets are not provided but are recommended. Bikers must follow all local, state, and national bike laws. Click here for campus rules of the road.

Checkout location is the Cat's Den (Student Center Annex), open 9 a.m. - 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Please call 257-6636 for bike availability.
A limited number of bikes are available for long-term rental. These bikes must be reserved and are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We are now taking reservations for Summer 2008 checkouts. To make reservations, please e-mail wildcatwheels@gmail.com.
Departmental Blue Bikes offer faculty and staff an opportunity to increase physical activity during regular working hours, reduce traffic on and around campus, and set a positive social example to students and community concerning environmental responsibility.
Thanks to a very generous donation from TIAA-Cref, we were able to dramatically expand our Blue Bike fleet in the fall of 2007, when we added 25 brand new bicycles to our fleet.
Departmental Blue Bikes are available to any UK department to use for up to one semester. Each bike is equipped with a rack, basket, and lock. Each Departmental Blue Bike will receive regular maintenance from the Wildcat Wheels Bike Library staff mechanics. To reserve a Blue Bike for your department, please e-mail wildcatwheels@gmail.com.
The Campus Bike Shop is available to all UK students, faculty, and staff to work on personal bikes or to volunteer and work on "Yellow Bikes" for the program. We are always seeking volunteers. No experience is necessary. Come and learn how the wonderful bike works. If you're interested, please e-mail wildcatwheels@gmail.com.
- The BIKE SHOP will reopen Friday, July 11. If you have problems with your Wildcat Wheels bicycle, please take it to Pedal Power Bike Shop on the corner of Maxwell and Upper. They will service the bicycle at no cost to you. Sorry for any inconvenience.
- Location: Basement of Blazer Residence Hall (corner of MLK Blvd. and Euclid Ave.)

The Campus Bike Shop now has a free bicycle air station! Come by and fill up.
We welcome your bike donations! To donate a bike, contact Shane Tedder at (859) 257-2003 or wildcatwheels@gmail.com and schedule a drop-off time, or simply bring the bike to the Campus Bike Shop during open hours.
Thanks to UK Student Government, TIAA-CREF, UK Resident Student Association, Tracy Farmer Center for the Environment, UK Health & Wellness Program and The National Wildlife Federation's Campus Ecology Program for funding support. Additional support provided by UK Cat's Den Staff, UK Parking and Transportation, UK Surplus Property, Pedal Power Bike Shop, Scheller's Cyclery and Fitness, and all Wildcat Wheels Volunteers.
