Minutes – January 16, 2003

Attendees:  Frank Butler, Zed Day, Paul DePriest, Tim Mullett, Don Perrier, Julie Sebastian, Ann Smith, Heather Wright, Byron Young, Jim  Zembrodt.

1. A review of the work to date was held with the larger group of clinical faculty from the College of Medicine referred to as the “Retreat Group.”  In addition, the other Medical Center colleges had faculty invited to attend this session.  Mission, Vision, and Values were presented by the consultants as submitted by the “Vision Group.”  Dr. Tim Mullett led a discussion on the formulation of this part of the strategic plan.  Discussions regarding assumptions and initial strategic goals and objectives were held with this group.
2. The Clinical Enterprise Strategic Plan Subcommittee met later in the day to review a process for evaluating areas of emphasis in the clinical arena.  Further work on this will be done by the consultants and brought back to the next meeting.
