Minutes – January 23, 2003

Attendees:  Leon Assael, Bernard Boulanger, Joe Claypool, Craig Clough, Paul DePriest, Richard Haug, Tim Mullett, Don Perrier, Tom Samuel, Richard Schwartz, Julie Sebastian, Ann Smith, Emery Wilson, Heather Wright, Byron Young, Jim  Zembrodt.

1. At noon a presentation was made to the chairs of the College of Medicine to bring them up to date on the strategic planning process.  The meeting lasted approximately two hours and substantial input was received from the chairs. 
2. The regular meeting of the subcommittee convened at 5:00 p.m. and the consultants reviewed our previous work as well as initial recommendations that the subcommittee might make.  A survey was completed by the subcommittee to determine the level of agreement around key issues.  It was decided that the survey would be electronically transmitted to the “Retreat Group” as well as the chairs group to get their feedback.
