How to Apply

Applications to the Honors Program include essay questions as well as scholastic statistics, in order that the reviewers may get a more complete picture of applicants.

Applications for the fall semester are generally due in mid-January. A high school transcript showing six semesters of work is required to be submitted at the time application is made.

To protect the privacy of your information, the Honors Program asks that applicants return applications to the HP office by mail only. Do not send applications by email or fax. When communicating with the Honors Program about your application or any other matter by email, be sure not to include sensitive data such as your Social Security number (SSN). The Honors Program will discuss applications with applicants only.

NOTE: Application essays should be no more than 500 words each.

Deadlines

The deadline for applications is January 15. We encourage you to apply as early as possible to assure yourself a place in the Program. All applications are read by a committee of Honors faculty and staff who pay special attention to indications of interest and commitment, as well as writing and intellectual ability. Applicants will usually be informed of the committee's decision within a month of receipt of all paperwork.
