The Honors Program is pleased to be able to offer a variety of scholarships, grants, and awards for its outstanding students. These awards fund study abroad, independent projects, and student skills development. We must continue to enrich our curricula by expanding these types of opportunities for students.
These benefits are made possible by the support of the parents and alumni of the Honors Program and the Singletary Scholars Program. The Director's Fund provides a way for our students to engage in experiences that facilitate learning both inside and outside the classroom. Gifts made to our Director's Fund help the director and our faculty continue to develop, plan and offer these unique educational experiences. The Honors Program supports literary endeavors through its literary magazine JAR. This provides our students with a creative published forum to share their poetry and prose. Your gift is important for us to continue to professionally print and distribute this magazine. We also support student enrichment activities through the Kate Johnson Scholarship Fund. This fund provides out students with financial support to study abroad, attend conferences and workshops, and complete research. Your gift helps Honors Program students have the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom in meaningful ways. When our professors plan their Honors courses, they try to incorporate as many special opportunities for their students as possible.
