Living on Campus is a Smart Choice!
ResNet is one more reason why living on campus is so smart. Through UK ResNet, each room is equipped with a cable television connection as well as network connections for each student. The cable television will include approximately 60 channels; all you need is a cable-ready television and a standard television coax cable. Literature from Insight Communications (the local cable provider) will include more details about the benefits of your new cable service.
ResNet also lets you connect your personal computer to the world! You can log on to email, check student records, search the UK library database, take online courses, access most academic computing systems, and search the Internet...all from your residence hall room or apartment. The cost is already included in your Housing fee. All you need is your computer with an Ethernet card installed and a Category 5 (or 6) patch cable.
