ResNet
ResNet is the name associated with the Internet connection in UK’s residence hall rooms and apartments. Your ResNet service also provides basic cable television.
Each residence hall room or apartment contains a cable modem that provides an Internet connection for each student. You will be able to access your student account information and E-mail, as well as search the library database and the Internet with your ResNet connection. The cost for the service is included in your housing fee; you will need a computer that meets our minimum system requirements (listed below), an Ethernet card and a Cat 5 cable. You will not need an additional Internet Service Provider (ISP) such as AOL or MSN. If you choose to keep your existing service, these types of services will work in conjunction with your ResNet connection; however you will need to contact your ISP technical support department to obtain the proper settings to do so.
