IRIS HR/Payroll Q & A
Question
How do I charge labor to a non-prime unit when entering hours on the timesheet for employees who are either Biweekly or Monthly?
Answer
When you enter time in CAT2, choose the Data Entry Profile called "UK Biweekly Time with Cost Allocation"--BIWEEKCA. This will allow you to enter a cost center on the time that will override the cost distribution set up on the position or on the person. There is a Data Entry Profile called "UK Monthly Time with Cost Allocation" -- MONTHCA. This will allow you to enter a cost center if you have a monthly employee whose salary needs to be charged to a different unit. Remember all hours must have a code entered in the A/A column to identify the type of hours before time can be evaluated.
