Human Resources/Payroll (HR) Courses for End-users

HR_OM_320 Position Creation

This course is intended to give business officers and business office staff an understanding of displaying, creating and maintaining faculty, student and temporary positions. This course will provide demonstrations and practice of the required activities in the following:

  • Position creation
  • Use of abbreviations to represent the object
  • Description of the object
  • Assignment of objects to organizational units
  • Definitions of position types, i.e., student, faculty and temporaries

Note: UK_100 and HR_200 are prerequisites for HR_OM_320.

 

HR_PA_300 Personnel Administration

This course is intended to give business officers and business office staff an understanding of how to maintain master data records. This course will provide demonstrations and practice of the required activities in the following:

  • Definition of an organizational unit
  • Description of organizational structures
  • Definition of master data records
  • Recognition of different Infotypes in IRIS HR/Payroll
  • Maintenance of individual Infotypes
  • Override of staff position funding

Note: UK_100 and HR_200 are prerequisites for HR_PA_300.

 

HR_PA_310 Personnel Administration Actions

This course is intended to give business officers and business office staff an understanding of how to handle personnel administrative actions. This course will provide demonstrations and practice of the required activities in the following:

  • Definition of an organizational unit
  • Description of organizational structures
  • Recognition of different object types in IRIS HR/Payroll
  • Recognition of different Infotypes in IRIS HR/Payroll
  • Personnel administration actions, including hiring, separation, additional assignments, position changes, etc.

Note: UK_100, HR_200, and HR_PA_300 are prerequisites for HR_PA_310.

 

HR_PA_340 Faculty Hiring Actions

This course is intended to give business officers and business office staff an understanding of how to handle personnel administrative actions for faculty. This course will provide faculty-specific information through demonstrations and practice of the required activities in the following:

  • Faculty action requirements
  • Faculty-related infotypes
  • Personnel administration actions for faculty

Note: UK_100, HR_200, HR_PA_300, and HR_PA_310 are prerequisites for Hr_PA_340.

 

HR_TM_300 Time Management

This course is intended to give the participants an understanding of the Time Administration process through the introduction of related terms and concepts. This course will provide demonstrations and practice of the required activities in the following:

  • Approve Time Sheet
  • Quota Maintenance
  • Direct Time Entry
  • Time Quota
  • Time Transfer
  • Time Evaluation
  • Time Statements
  • Special Pay
  • Work Schedules
  • Interface Tables
  • Data Specifications

Note: UK_100 and HR_200 are prerequisites for HR_TM_300.
