Former Assessment Instruments

 
In addition to the above assessments, UK Core has also been assessed in the following ways:
CAAP is ACT s standardized, nationally normed test of core general education skills that is designed to assist postsecondary institutions in assessing, evaluating, and enhancing undergraduate student learning in general education programs. The CAAP is also useful for measuring value-added performance gains. CAAP test modules are designed to assess six areas: reading, writing skills, writing essay, mathematics, science, and critical thinking.
 
Wabash National Study was designed to assist colleges and universities improve student learning and enhance the educational impact on their programs. The goals of the study were to 1) learn what teaching practices, programs, and institutional structures support liberal arts education, and 2) develop methods of assessing liberal arts education. Wabash outcomes included 7 areas: effective reasoning and problem solving, inclination to inquire and lifelong learning, integration of learning, intellectual effectiveness, leadership, moral reasoning, and well-being.
